I wanted to start this day of thanksgiving and reflection by thanking YOU! Because of you and your support, we changed the course of history in Illinois.
Your support powered a statewide campaign that lifted up voices and stories that had not been heard. Your commitment helped engage tens of thousands of neighbors and friends in a conversation about our shared values. Your belief in our work enabled us to build an unprecedented coalition of people of faith that spoke eternal truths about love. That work shook long-held fears and allowed loving, committed couples to strengthen their families and have the freedom to marry.
Your commitment made all the successes possible. And as we implement our rights, defend our victories, and pursue our state and federal agenda, I know that with your support we can achieve all our goals.
