Historic Anti-Trans Legislation

Anti-LGBTQIA+ hate groups are pushing transphobic state-level legislation across the country. These bills seek to prohibit trans student-athletes from participating on sports teams aligned with their gender identity and restrict trans patients’ access to healthcare, especially gender-affirming care for minors. Here in Illinois, we must oppose HB4082 which would require schools to organize all sports team participants according to children’s “biological sex” i.e. based on a child’s genitalia.
